India. A fabled lycanthrope club, home of Freya Storm, outed were-leopard. It was the perfect place to start right? Especially if she wanted to get her name and contact out there and make a few initial connections within the lycanthrope community. It couldn't be that hard to do without outing herself in the process right? A bit of worry washed over her as she waited in line outside the club. Many of her clients were human and they didn't need to know she was a lycanthrope, it made her wonder if she would lose their business or possibly gain more, just different cases. Still, it was a risk that she wasn't ready to take. There was a way to silently help and lead without anyone ever having to know.

As the line started moving she found herself following and being pushed towards the entrance. With a tight clamp down on her shields she took a breath as she neared the bouncer. He almost began to give her a look that said she had needed not wait, but she smiled and shook the thought away and entered with the rest of them. Her lips parted slightly as she took in all the colours and sounds inside. It was like nothing she had ever seen before, which really wasn't that surprising. With her head stuck mostly in books she never got to experience things like this. It was a new experience, and she almost wished she had chosen to come here out of want, not business need.

Stepping inside, bodies pushed past her in a rush to reach the dance floor and the bar. She was still busy looking around, trying to take everything in so she did not feel like a fish out of water. It was obvious to anyone that looked that she was not exactly in her element, that she needed to relax a bit. Maybe it would come after she was done. Walking with a purpose, she aimed her attention at the bar and strode over there quietly. Once there she leaned herself against the wood finish and waited for her attention to grab one of the bartenders present. When one was close enough she spoke softly, low enough that she hoped not everyone would hear her but her message would still be heard.

"I'd like to speak with the Manager or Owner please?"

"Sorry, the manager isn't here right now. Do you want to leave your name and number? Or maybe I could help you if it's just a question?" The woman behind the bar leaned forward. Elbows on the counter, and a big smile. She didn't have much on in the way of clothing, very provocative dress. In fact, she was one of the cage dancers for the club. Long dark raven hair rested in careless waves over her shoulder. She would be dancing soon, very soon. But, having a quick drink before she went up to perform. The dancer wouldn't go into the owner. Anyone who asked that must not have known. Since Heresy died, Freya had made sure the pard got the split of the revenue from the club. Danielle getting the most, as she was the manager. Freya's idea was that every one was taken care of in the Khuna Raja, and through the club they were able to do just that.

Freya was mingling. It wasn't very often, honestly, but the panwere had begun to venture out more and more. To get to know club goers, or just other people in general. It seemed to delight the crowd, rubbing elbows with the queen of the leopards, or was it just the woman who had been on enough newsprint to line every bird cage at the London Zoo? Then there was television. Yeah, something Freya was becoming a bit more comfortable with. From the closet to the camera, was a bit of a shock. But, she was taking it. A couple requested a pose with the panwere, who gave in to the delighted smiles. A camera flashed in the alcove not far from the dance floor. A few more and some might have caught the hint of green as the leopard looked out with full curiosity.

"Sure." Alyssa was distracted with the beat and thrum of the club, the way everyone on the dance floor seemed to grind against one another and no one seemed to care. And with her eyes turned back to the woman with whom she was speaking, another surprised look crossed over her face. Obviously she was speaking with one of the dancers and not a bartender. Part of her wondered for a moment what it must be like to put yourself in one of the cages and dance for all the people, letting everyone see all the movements and skin. But she knew her attentions were better focused on academic things rather than dancing. Reaching into her purse she grabbed for one of her business cards and gave it to the dancer. Hopefully she could put it somewhere before she lost it likely with the rest of her outfit.

Turning her attention back to the dance floor, she swore her eyes caught the hint of a camera flash somewhere. Moving, she walked closer to where she thought it was and was delighted with what she saw. Freya Storm, Queen of the were-leopards was doing a photo op with some of the club patrons. A warm smile brushed over her face as she waited until they were gone. Hand out stretched in greeting. After all, Freya would know what she was, but she didn't need anyone else to figure it out. "Freya Storm? A pleasure to meet you. I was wondering where in the city you liked to hide."

"No worries, I'll get it to the manager. But, she's a busy woman. Can't say she'll answer ummm quickly," The dancer took the card, tucking it away in her bra. She'd have to remember to go by Danielle's office and leave it there. Now, if Danielle called the woman back, that was another thing. Seeing the woman was distracted, the dancer decided to go ahead and leave the card. Besides, soon, it was dance time.

Gently, but with a little careful strength, Freya shook the hands of her 'admirers'. Taking it in stride much better then in the past. After all, she felt relatively safe anymore, with having people enchanted with the idea of the 'leopard queen'. If the goverment decided to take back it's laws of giving them rights, there would be more humans to protest and be in their side.

Turning to another face, Freya was met by an inviting smile. The woman was a couple inches taller then Freya, with autumn colored eyes and dark brown hair. She was lovely, admittedly Freya said to herself.

"Hello," her voice was a soft purr, that rumbled a bit when she had taken the hand offered. A slight edge of power, the faintest slipped with the touch. As if Alpha to Alpha, there was some kind of flint, match. The woman was shielding, hard and very capable. The panwere tilted her head curiously, and even more so with the question, "There are many places to hide, Sweet." Freya replied, using the affectionate term she'd picked up from her one time master vampire, "But, if you would like to just talk, there is the VIP lounge or..we could just find a booth on the edge of the club."

The Leopardess' voice was the softest of purrs, a sound even she could not recreate within herself. It rumbled slightly but slid over her skin and caused her to shiver in delight. Finally getting to meet one of the people behind all the movements. And she could remember clearly seeing Freya on the television, the things she said and the rights she fought for. No lycanthrope should ever forget the sacrifice the woman before her made for them. If they did, they didn't deserve the freedom they now had.

Her curiousity spiked as suddenly Freya knew that she was hiding. "I need to hide." She nodded softly and her hair fell a bit in front of her eyes, hiding the chocolate colour of her eyes. Releasing Freya's hand she smiled and took the other woman in again. Nodding once more she let her hues light up and sparkle over the other woman's face. "I would like to talk, if you have the time. Please, lead the way."

The smile fell away. Freya knew that look, that soft gaze that fell downward. The woman had needed to hide. Freya had been there. Deep in that lycan closet. So deep, that she had learned to shield hard as steel around herself. After all, Freya had counseled lycans and others in the city's hospital. If they had know. Well, they ended up knowing, and Freya was swiftly 'let go'. Her services were no longer needed. Yet, they were soon needed by the government. One of their many lab experiments. Unless hidden, those experiments were gone. But, the prejudice at jobs and with family, was not.

She let the woman's soft hand escape Freya's own. A gentle bob of her head, and Freya motioned for the woman to join her. She didn't know the woman's name, where she came from, or why she hid. Yet, it was in Freya's maternal protective nature to take in lycans. This woman was a strong alpha in her own right, but the fragility that Freya could see was easy to recognize in herself.

Moving through the crowd, it seemed to part like the red sea for the Nimir Ra. Her long legs made easy work of the steps, taking the lycan female up and up until they stopped at a door. There, it was opened by a guard, who stepped aside and held it for Freya and her guest. When she passed the guard, Freya reached out and tenderly caressed fingertips to the back of his hand. Then she spun about gracefully, watching the door close behind them. Her smile once more spread upon her lips, "Would you like a drink, Ms..... I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."

She had no choice but to follow the Leopardess as the crowd parted for her. It was like being mesmerized, or called by a Siren's call. There was no way to describe it. All the knowledge the other woman had through her life and struggles, the battles she had fought. It was Alyssa's biggest hope that they could form some sort of friendship so that the hyena could start being part of the movement, to help while being hidde and not just from behind her stand in the court room. Up the steps, past a few guards, and finally bright brown eyes watched as the door closed behind Ms. Storm and they were alone. Alone with all her questions, without the fear of being caught.

With a soft sigh of relief, Alyssa tentatively let her shields slowly down, enough to feel the room and the other woman, to taste her and to know her as only lycanthropes could. But it felt odd knowing that there was a large gathering of people downstairs and she was allowing herself to be who she was naturally, without hiding. When the other woman spoke softly and with a smile, she too found herself smiling. "Harris. Alyssa Harris. Ummm..." Her hand once more shot into her bag and she searched for the edges of her business cards. Once found she held it out to Freya, hand shaking just a bit. "And no, thank you. I'm quite alright."

Looking around the room she was amazed at how hidden these were from the floor, and the sound barriers in between the walls. Taking a few more steps inside she surveyed her surroundings before turning her attention back to the blonde. "Would you rather Ms. Storm? Or Freya? I can't begin to tell you how many questions I have. And I apologize if I seem, a bit like a child on Christmas. I just, I read and watched you on televison, I read over the papers and articles. It is amazing to be finally meeting you."

A warm rush spread over the panwere, as the other woman let away her shields. It was then that Freya could taste the other woman on her lips truly, scent the wild of the beast. Hyena. It caused her leopard to quickly shoot it's head up within the darkness of Freya's body. A slight rumbled was silent but felt by the panwere, to which she quickly hushed. The hyena's in the past were dangerous. Wreckless beasts who had caused quiet a bit of trouble for the pard and others. Yet, this woman did not scent of the same cackle. She moved with that timidness that Freya understood. The other woman's hand had disappeared, bringing out a business card. Giving a nod, the Norwegian took the card and looked it over. Law. A lawyer? Now, that was something the community could use.

"Please, call me Freya," she purred, reaching out to the woman who seemed slightly overwhelmed by this meeting. She stroked long digits against the woman's upper arm in a long slow sweep, then let her hand fall away, "Then you perhaps know quite a bit about me. Let's relax, and talk like old friends," Freya smiled warmly, "Although, I surely have more to catch up on you...my friend."

Freya wanted the other woman comfortable. Alyssa would be the first hyena that she had ever met, whom didn't have it out for her. Who didn't think mawling someone was a fun pastime. Motioning to the seats in the middle of the room, Alyssa could see that their fabric was faux fur of various large cats. Stripes, spots, rosettes, golden, covered the loveseats and deep chairs. Various exotic plants filled the room, further giving it a jungle like look. A dark ebony wood decorated the furniture and bar. While a large square glass table edged in the wood sat in the middle of the sitting area. Another set of chairs sat off to the side in an L shape, perhaps for another group if the VIP ever was busy.

The Nimir Ra sat down in one of the large chairs, her body becoming framed in soft fur that looked like snow leopard. She seemed to snuggle into it's depths, long legs crossed with one loose over the other. She stroked the fur casually for a moment, the lifted her blue eyes to meet Alyssa's, "Tell me, Alyssa. If you do not mind. And please, if I am too forward, feel free to let me know. But, how long have you been in Yeovil?"

Another nod. Freya, Alyssa smiled, she could treat the other woman like a friend. A commodity she sorely needed after years spent with her face in a book. Especially now that she was venturing out, and wanting to start some stuff up around the city. She watched as her new friend moved into the room and sat down in one of the chairs, a blanket made out of faux fur fell around her frame, spotted with rosettes, the same you would find on a snow leopard. Her eyes watched as she stroked the fur as if it was her own and the glanced up. Clear blue eyes looking straight at her. "I really don't mind at all Freya. Anything you want to or need to ask will make this a lot easier. I'm not very good with awkward silences."

It was the truth, she didn't get out much and because of that she had to take lessons from her Oba on how to be less socially awkward. But in most situations it didn't seem too hard to keep the conversation going. "I have been in Yeovil since the end of the Summit. I decided that I couldn't stand being away from all of the commotion and that I was likely to do a lot of good here. Except on my way in I noticed the other Hyena's seemed to be on their way out. And there has been nothing of a clan since then. Or at least none that I have been able to find." Alyssa took a seat opposite Freya, lowering herself slowly and then crossing her long legs over. Settling her bag on the floor beside her, she let her hands fold into her lap.

"If you can, I would like to know more about the Summit from someone who was there, and all the obstacles you must've faced with the law getting passed. As you read on my card, it's something that has always been a fascination to me since I was infected." She nodded once more, not wanting to go into it as her story wasn't as traumatizing as most.

"Oh...yes," there was a drop in her voice, remembering the Oba who had attacked Dwight. Freya tried to imagine Alyssa among them, and just couldn't. It didn't matter that she was a hyena, this woman was nothing like the rough and tumble biker group that had once plagued Yeovil. Freya was thankful they had not remained, and even more to scare away someone like Alyssa. Lips tugged slightly to a crooked frown, then relaxed, "So, you have been here for sometime. You should be thankful that you did not meet up with the resident Cackle at the time. They were a dangerous clan, and gave the wrong impression about lycans to the humans."

Freya's gaze drew distant, thinking back to the summit. It seemed a lifetime ago. People no longer around, except Gio. No, the Rat King had remained. She lifted her chin in a slight nod, and returned her blue eyes back to Alyssa, "Everything moved so fast at that time. The Summit had surprised me. That it even was happening. Not but a month before, I had been hiding after escaping the government labs. Then," Freya chuckled, eyes falling to fingers that slid along the fabric of her clothing, "Next thing I was standing up and sounding like a politician."

"It had never been my calling. But, there were so few brave enough to speak. Giovanni of the Rodere, Neveah of the Pride, and Ashley of the Lukoi. There were even a few in the audience who hid to listen in hope," Freya paused, settling her breath and looking towards Alyssa, "I had to speak up. I didn't want what I saw in the labs to happen again.:"
