It was a lovely night, the sort of night that lovers would embrace underneath. Temperature just cold enough to enable the hugging of lovers underneath the stars. It called to shifters, to join the hunt. It called to vampires, to have them stalk the night. It called Solitaire, a member of humans first, to take out her gun and shoot a leopard.
Danielle was beautiful, talented, and perhaps most tragic of all, young. Far too young. Not once, but twice did the sound of a gun ring off into the night. One silver bullet rushing through flesh, poisoning the blood. Danielle Holden was murdered.
The pard mourns the loss of one of their own; one question remaining.
Why?
